Interesting comments coming out of Lionel Messi’s camp following his admission that ‘things change’ in football and a realisation that he might not be at Barca forever.
It is reported today that the Barcelona star’s father, Jorge Messi, has come out to scotch rumours by insisting there “is nothing”, but then going on to dangle a carrot, “if Barça say ‘we have an offer, we want to sell’, we’d look into it, but we don’t think about leaving. Leo is happy.”
Those involved in and around football will know that these comments aren’t typically made without some foundation of frustration on the part of the player – they only make a comment when they need to make a comment.
